There are a number of non-profit organizations in Prague that offer support to foreigners in various aspects of integration and other life situations. Their services are provided free of charge thanks to funding from various sources, including public and private.
Integration Centre Prague
Integration Centre Prague (ICP) is a non-profit organization operating in Prague since 2012, offering free services to migrants from non-EU countries. ICP is part of a network of integration centers located across the Czech Republic.
All ICP services are funded by European funds, the budget of the City of Prague, and other grants, making them free of charge for clients.
Services Offered:
Social counseling
- Assistance in finding nursery, primary, and secondary schools and communicating with them
- Recognition of foreign education (nostrification)
- Assistance in finding a doctor and information on health insurance
- Advice on marriage, birth, or death registration
- Help with job search, filling out forms, and writing a CV
- Basic advice on pensions and social benefits
- Information on citizenship application
Legal counseling
- Extending residence permit, changing the purpose of stay, applying for residence, appeals
- Family reunification
- Reviewing documents and help with understanding official documents, primarily those from the Czech Ministry of the Interior
- Basic consultations on contracts (rental, employment, etc.)
- Basic advice on marriage, discrimination issues, document verification, etc.
Accompaniment to institutions
- Assistance in communicating with authorities
- Interpreting and assistance during meetings
Czech language courses
- Various levels
- Courses for both adults and children
Educational seminars
- Expert lectures on Czech history, traditions, residency in the Czech Republic, healthcare, social, and education systems
