This system provides assistance to socially vulnerable citizens, families with children, and other groups.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Social Insurance <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents of the Czech Republic are required to pay social insurance contributions from their income. This insurance includes pension insurance, sickness insurance, and a contribution to state employment policy. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By paying these contributions and meeting all the required conditions, you are entitled to: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Old-age pension<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sickness benefits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maternity or paternity benefits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attendance Allowance <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alert info is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-3a88641f wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p class=\"icon wp-block-paragraph\">info<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For entrepreneurs, sickness insurance is voluntary. However, if you choose not to participate in the sickness insurance system, you are not entitled to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cssz.cz\/web\/cz\/nemocenske\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sickness benefits<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cssz.cz\/web\/cz\/penezita-pomoc-v-materstvi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">maternity pay<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cssz.cz\/web\/cz\/otcovska\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">paternity benefits<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cssz.cz\/web\/cz\/dlouhodobe-osetrovne\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">long-term caregiving benefits<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cssz.cz\/web\/cz\/kontakty\/region\/ossz\/praha\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Czech Social Security Administration<\/a> is responsible for collecting social insurance are paying pensions and benefits.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alert warning is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-3a88641f wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p class=\"icon wp-block-paragraph\">warning<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sickness insurance is a type of social insurance and is different from health insurance. These include:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Parental allowance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Birth grant <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funeral grant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>State Social Assistance Benefit, the so-called \u201csuper benefit\u201d. <\/strong>).
